Spouse Visa
At London Pioneer College, we assist all applicants in pursuing their visa options, and our spouse visa application has an excellent success rate.
To apply for a spouse visa, both you and your partner must be over the age of 18 and meet one of the following criteria:
- Be a British citizen
- Have settled in the UK—this includes those with indefinite leave to remain, settled status, or proof of permanent residence
- Hold refugee status or humanitarian protection in the UK
- It is essential that you and your partner intend to live together permanently in the UK after submitting your application.
You must also demonstrate one of the following:
- You are in a civil partnership or marriage that is recognised in the UK
- You have been living together in a relationship for at least two years at the time of application
- You are a fiancé, fiancée, or proposed civil partner and will marry or enter into a civil partnership in the UK within six months of your arrival
Additionally, you need to provide evidence that you:
- Have a good command of the English language
- Can financially support yourself and any dependants
If you are applying as a fiancé or proposed civil partner, you must also show proof that:
- Any previous marriages or civil partnerships have been dissolved
- You plan to marry or become civil partners within six months of arriving in the UK
Please note that you will not be permitted to work during your engagement.
